Relevance of Islam to sustainability of Nature

This reflection come from experience of my Islamic learning during 25 years. The first, I to articulated my community. I live with very strong community that refer any kind of their behavior and attitude to Islamic Syar'i. But it is very contradiction with their behavior itself, Any reference, just end up with discourse. When Islam admit on how to respect diversity the difficulties were coming to the social environment. Some of Muslim are very difficult to accept that Islam is not the only religion in this world. And they are very difficult to give respect to whom were not opt Islam as Religion. When Islam said, today's generation have to grant future generation by protect our environment, decrease the pollutant substance, and stop to cutting down the forest. Muslim who is 80% of this country population were not speak up, and just busy with daily live.
In certain level, I am aware that Islam as religion should be put as sacred doctrine. But the sacred of this religion are not limit people to apply as code of social, economic and environment practices. According to Islamic knowledge, they are certain level before Qur'anic text are applying as life practices, the process shall pass such as of text interpretation, to Fiqh argumentation that fulfilled Ushulul fiqh as philosophical foundation. Moreover, Any kind practice model of Islamic Fiqh were not absolute thing where is no dialog for it. So, this kind of thing make me aware that the Fiqh interpretation may be different each other, especially when we have to take account on context of social, economic and environment of each society. It make the precautionary principle are basis of every Muslim either they are Ulama or Ummat. The fact that appear in Indonesia Muslim society today are different and so different to claimed that we are in the right path following Islam as value or way of life. Where this conditions make us contradictory with Islam it self. Islamic value and its obligation are not only responsible of high level people such as Ulama and academia. But the responsible is for all of Muslim people in every Muslim country and society. Because of that, every Muslim who believe in Qur'an and Hadist that is also referring their faith to Ulama interpretation shall be also understand the basic interpretation of Ulama. The interpretation should be stand for justice, future generation, and welfare of living creature.
This argumentation bring me to simple analysis on nature sustainability in Indonesia. Where the Indonesian population more than 85% is Muslim that have more obligation compare to other faith community, this country and society shall be pro toward nature protection, conservation and services for the next generation. And if the contradiction happen means that something happen to our understanding on Islamic interpretation that become an obligation of 85% Muslim population to fix it. (Google+)
